This summer, Angela returned to Los Angeles as a member of the Dudamel Foundation Encuentros Orchestra where she collaborated with various El Sistema students to perform alongside Esperanza Spalding under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. Other local and national orchestra festivals include the New World Symphony Side-by-Side Ensemble, Music for All National Festival, Florida All-State, and the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. In the summer and fall of 2019, she attended the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles National Festival and Institute, where she performed alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Edinburgh International Festival, and Barbican Centre.
Throughout these experiences and her education, Angela has had the pleasure of working with notable orchestral conductors, such as Michael Tilson Thomas, Gustavo Dudamel, Roderick Cox, Larry Livingston, and Marin Alsop. In addition to her solo and orchestra performances, Angela is an avid chamber musician and was involved in Miami Youth for Chamber Music (MyCM) for four years where she had the opportunity to perform at various community events with her quartet. Angela actively participates in chamber music at Peabody and has attended The Castleman Quartet Program, SummerStrings at NYU, and the Frost School of Music Young Musicians Summer Program. Outside of music, Angela is a research assistant at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Transplant Research Center.
